DIY IKEA PAX Closet System

IKEA PAX Closet: This is the exact one I bought. I love it! It came in a set.

IKEA Boxes On Top: These are the boxes I have on top; they zip around the top. I have my winter clothes in here since I only need them for special occasions, since I live in SoCal.

IKEA PAX Organizers: You can add other items to the closet system to customize it. I haven’t done this…yet. I love the jewelry organizer and a drawer to add to the shelves to maximize storage.

Be Patient:

When setting this up, it’s a lot of small pieces. They fit altogether perfectly, but just follow the instructions to a T. Make sure the raw edges are on the correct faces and lock everything in AFTER you have verified the raw edges are placed correctly. Once it’s locked into place, you cannot change it without breaking it.

Moving this:

I did hire movers to move this for me. I was so worried, I had heard horror stories about it breaking. They did a phenomenal job. They emptied it out, took the drawers out, and then wrapped it completely in plastic wrap. They used dollies to lift it off and moved it at an angle to not break any of the pressure points. Highly recommend that if you move this one day, to hire movers.
